Update

Well, thanksgiving was a blast! I spent the holidays with a friend and her family. I guess I'll just summarize some of the weekend's activities...
  • Dodgeball: I hadn't played a game of dodgeball since elementary school, but on thanksgiving, between eating and watching movies, we played a 1 1/2 hour game of Dodgeball. It was TONS of fun! We all played so hard, that most of were suffering from muscle aches for several days afterwards. The great thing about that was my abs hurt from laughing so hard...
  • We also went for a drive through the mountains around their town. That was fun to go somewhere new. Some of the views were beautiful, and while out in the boonies, we got to go shooting at targets...I don't know if I'd be able to hit anything if my life depended on it, but it sure is fun to shoot a gun...
  • Oh yeah, and I got to see Harry Potter! AND, I got to see it in one of the last remaining old-school theaters that haven't been converted to stadium seating, and still had sticky floors...ahh, memories of Laie Family Theater....

It seemed like we did a whole lot more than that, but right now, I can't think of any big activities that stand out...it was just a TON of fun, and I had a great time. Her family is great. Even though they're from Utah, they've got the Aloha spirit...my thanksgiving would have been really hard if I'd tried to spend it on my own.

Coming back to work on Monday was hard. My legs were still a bit sore from Dodgeball, believe it or not...(and I thought I was in OK shape. How disappointing). I'm still catching up on housework and sleep, but it was a much needed break/vacation. I hope christmas is as fun, though I'm' sure it'll be better, 'cause I have the girls for that holiday! I know I won't be lonely.

Well, I'll post more if anything comes up, but life is pretty mundane right now...

Later!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Well, the girls have gone to New Mexico this weekend, so I'm working a full day, then heading to a friend's house for the holiday weekend. It kinda sucks, but I guess I might as well make the best of it.

Last night the girls and I had our Thanksgiving celebration at home, complete with turkey, stuffing, yams, gravy, rice, potatoes, pies, etc., etc... it was fun to be able to set up the table fancy and see their surprised expressions when they got home. We decorated with fall leaves and stuff, and had a great time eating and talking about what we're thankful for. Arden ate 4 pieces of pumpkin pie! I didn't know she even liked pumpkin pie. I'm just glad we had time to celebrate together before they left for the weekend. I'll try not to worry too much about them while they're gone.

Have a great thanksgiving all!!!

I won a fire extinguisher!

Yup, at work we had a fire-awareness week thing, and I went out and tried using a fire extinguisher and then entered to win stuff, and I totally won! I feel special now...

I'm Back!!!

I've decided to keep up both blogs, because I have friends who read the other one, but I'll just email the same post to both sites and it's the same thing...

Things seem to be going well. The girls have been extra happy lately, and that always makes things go smoothly. Besides that, I've been preparing for our next round of mediation/settlement conference. It always gets my nerves, but I'm not really that worried. What got to me this week was having to re-print copies of all the divorce stuff and reading some of the things that were written that were just plain out lies. I have to remember to let the past go and just move forward. It has gotten me this far, and has made me so much happier. Liars suck.

The girls have a thanksgiving program tomorrow that should be really cute, I'll take pictures and hopefully I can develop those (and our halloween pictures) and post them soon.

Well, I'm off to enrichment night now, I'll post more news soon. I just wanted to get this blog started.

SMILE!!!!
